About Richard Carrigan

Richard Carrigan is a professional English educator with over 30 years of experience helping students master the English language. He holds a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and is deeply committed to guiding learners toward fluency, accuracy, and confidence.

Over the past three decades, Richard has taught students both in the United States and across Asia, including extensive time spent in Japan. This international background provides him with a thorough understanding of the unique linguistic and cultural challenges students face when adapting to a new language. He brings a high level of academic expertise to every lesson.

Through Carrigan English Language Coaching, Richard provides personalized, step-by-step instruction tailored to the modern world. His teaching philosophy focuses on practical application, specifically in two core areas:
